About Lexi Pline

I've been taking photos since I first picked up a camera in middle school, and haven't stopped since. I'm currently in my fourth year at Boston University, studying photojournalism. The minute I figured out I could have a job that combines my love of photography and storytelling with the ability to document history and help people, I was sold.

So far in my career, I've been awarded the National YoungArts Award in Photography two years in a row (2015-2016), worked for BU's student newspaper The Daily Free Press, and freelanced for The Capital Gazzette and Spinsheet Magazine.

I've shot everything from big name concerts (like Pentatonix at TD Garden) to local sailing competitions, and many things in between. Recently, i've branched into shooting and editing videos for news.

I'm also an avid sailor, both inside and outside of school, and a member of the Boston University Sailing Team. So if i'm not out taking photos, you're pretty much guaranteed to find me on the Charles River for practice or traveling for competitions.

My goal is to one day become a staff photographer for a newspaper or wire service, but I'll do anything that gets me out and about behind the camera.
